Chapter Helios Winter Glendi

Chapter Helios hosted our Winter Glendi on Saturday, January 16th. It was a great evening with many of our attendees traveling from all over the US! We had a very busy weekend as our chapter also hosted a golf outing, the Supreme Lodge meeting and the annual Youth Conference. The Youth Conference included a meet and greet event on Friday night, Ikarian cooking demonstrations on Saturday afternoon followed by a meeting and a few rounds of Ikarian Jeopardy. These were all successful events.
Peter Karnavas entertained us on his magical violi and kept us dancing all night. The youth showed their true spirit by dancing until 2 am before they all headed back to Shephard's Resort on Clearwater beach where the conference was held earlier that day. Thanks to all who helped to organize all of the events of the weekend! (click photos to enlarge image)

Greek Independence Day Parade and Picnic / Meeting

On Sunday March 29 Chapter Helios members gathered in Tarpon Springs and participated in the Greek Independence Day Parade. We had a great representation this year with a float and beads to toss into the crowd. It was a perfect day for a parade with sunny skies and a cool breeze.
Following the parade, members met at Howard Park to discuss future meeting places and plans for remodeling the clubhouse following the fire last month.

Chapter Helios Winter Glendi

Chapter Helios hosted the 32nd Annual Winter Glendi on January 24, 2009. Many people came to the new venue of the St. Nicholas Community Center for an evening of dinner and dancing. Leonidas Tsantiris dazzled on the violi until the early hours of the morning as members and friends danced until exhaustion.
Thanks to the chapter members who helped make the winter dance another successful event!
