Third Convention Letter

[Sailing]

July 25, 2001

Dear Fellow Icarians and Friends:

The organizing committee for the 97th Pan-Icarian Convention has completed its pre-convention work and is now ready to welcome you to what promises to be the most exciting convention in the history of our Brotherhood.

Since this is the last communication we will be sending out, we would like to remind you of the following items of importance:

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

If you have not already reserved your room, do so immediately. Hotel rooms are being reserved rapidly. Your reservation must be made by August 15, 2001, so please call the Hilton Toll Free number at (800) 445-8667 or call the New York Hilton directly at (212) 586-7000. Identify yourself as a member of the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood to receive the appropriate room rate.

GRAND BANQUET RESERVATIONS

Use the enclosed reservation card to reserve your seats at the Grand Banquet. Return the completed card indicating the desired number of seats, choice of menu together with a check to Kostas Mavrikis at 28-25 202nd Street, Bayside, NY 11360. The hotel may not be able to honor late reservations or walk-ins, so it is of the utmost importance that you reserve your space now.

ACTIVITIES RESERVATIONS

We hope that you will not miss the exciting New York cruise and other tours we have planned for you. The cruise, circling Manhattan, will enable you to experience this impressive city by water. The social activities committee has enclosed a letter, describing this and other events in detail. Since we can only accommodate a limited number of people, send in your reservations as soon as possible to ensure your place on the tour(s).

RAFFLE

Finally, we have enclosed one raffle ticket as our final endeavor to support our Convention and Brotherhood. Particularly for those who can not attend the convention, please consider lending your support by purchasing a raffle ticket. The raffle gifts are all cash prizes and we will be more than happy to mail it to the lucky winner anywhere in the United States. Please return the raffle receipt with a check to Nick Karoutsos at 2067 72nd Street, Brooklyn, New York 11214. When sending your check, please make it payable to Pandiki #5 Convention 2001.

We look forward to your presence and the pleasure of your company this Labor Day Weekend, August 31 - September 3, 2001. New York awaits you, welcomes you and expects you.

Fraternally yours,

The Executive Committee
97th Pan-Icarian Brotherhood
National Convention
